Whosoever supplicates with

Du'a is not a mere verbal utterance, but "a state
of real want," which mostly is manifested by the
verbal supplication. So long as there is no harmony
between "the inner state of want" and "the
verbal utterance," the supplication would lack
its spirit.

What is religion ? Religion
means a particular system of faith and worship. When
we believe in something strongly and firmly, we say
it is my religion. So by definition, if we do not act
in accordance to our religious faith and belief, it
means that we do not really believe in that religion.
If we do things against the teachings of our religion
then it means that we do not have faith in our religion.
The Holy Quran has told us about such people.
The differences between Shia
and non-Shia Muslims have a very long history. They
started many centuries ago; in fact immediately after
the death of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.w. But even then,
during the period of the first two Caliphs (Abubakar
and 'Umar) these differences did not cause as much controversy
and ill feelings as they did during the last two Caliphs

Seventy days before his demise,
when Prophet Muhammad was returning to Medina after
his last pilgrimage to Mecca, he reached the pond of
Khum (Ghadir Khum) near Juhfa. It was the 18th of the
month of Dhul-Hijja of the year 10 AH (March 15, 632
AD). By this time, the Prophet had conveyed all of the
divine commandments to his nation except for the formal
and
explicit public announcement of his divinely appointed
successors as the leaders, guardians, and guides for
the believers for all days to come.
