In this holy month, we have been fortunate to be given a very good opportunity, one that has been given to us without asking or begging Allah (s.w.t). Many a times, one does not avail a bounty simply because he cannot recognize its significance, cannot appreciate the bounty and therefore is unable to benefit from these momentary, limited windows of opportunity. On the other hand the law of opportunities is also very
unique. As mentioned in narrations, opportunities come like clouds and pass away the same way. They do not wait. They do not knock repeatedly on someone’s door. They do not come back again. When one is fortunate to get such an opportunity he should be thankful for the bounties given to him in the form of the opportunity. One should welcome it, one should hug it, one should embrace it. In fact on its own, the meanings of Fursat (occasions/time) and Taufeeq (opportunity) also need to be explored.

The Bab-ul-Ilm Library is a modern library setup primarily for the Shia Ithna-Asheri community of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. It has been established in the Haji Daya Walji building (Tabligh Building), a stone's throw away from the main KSIJ mosque.

While the connotation from the name of the library (Bab-ul-Ilm) would be of a purely Islamic library, it is much more. It has materials in all fields of life, from picture books for toddlers to secular subjects like politics, psychology, and philosophy.

Madrasah al-Zahra (‘a) is an institute of higher Islamic learning that offers a two-year advanced level Islamic course that is tailor-made to help different groups of ladies in the community. The target groups included current and future teachers, zakirahs (orators), professionals, mothers and those who intended to go for further studies. We intended to ensure that, though we would follow a course similar to the introductory level of hawza, we would also include subjects that would fulfill the community needs.
We also provide specific modules for certain specialized groups e.g. Islamic Banking and Medical Ethics. Students who cannot attend the entire two-year program are permitted to attend specific modules that would be relevant to their fields of study or their interests. More
